end of 2008 angpao

a trip down to the store to get some bread ended up crashing up my ride. what an experience. It was 2 days ago when i drove mum and grandma for dinner. We had some good time at Home Style Restaurant. Then after dinner, we proceeded back home when mum came up with the idea of buying some bread for breakfast. So we drove n drove n drove .. down the main road after casa permai. At one of the junction, i wanted to make my turn to the right, so i stopped n put on my signal lights. And the minute i made my turn, BANG!! Mum yelled and grandma was in shocked. "A car hit us!" I hurried down the car to see and saw 2 young malay boys on the floor. They were on a bike, with no helmets n no lights. WTF. The the story goes on from car workshop to police station.

Damn

Wont have a car for the month, hopefully before CNY can get back the car.

yummy...

today, proudly saying i had the best lunch ever!
I went to the refrigerator, start looking for food .. found some eggs, and a bunch of bottled sauces. Opened the freezer, found an old ass ready made hamburger meat. Looked over the table, and saw the a pack of tortilla bread. (is a type of bread made of flour that looks like a roti canai)
So i came up with this sandwich/panini lunch. The ingredients are:

Egg
Mayonnaise
Onion
---------------
Tortilla bread
home made/ready made burger meat
hot mustard
chili sauce
cheese (any)

1)Start boiling you egg, once its cooked .. drain it and mash it.
2)Dice up some onion into it, then add the mayonnaise. (makes egg mayo)
3)Start pan-frying your burger meat in some butter (add some oil to prevent butter from burning)
4)Once the meat is done and brown, put it onto the tortilla bread.
5)Spread the egg-mayo onto the meat. Hit the top with mustard, chili sauce and a piece of cheese.
6)Fold it in to make it into a shape of a package. (square)
7)Put some butter in the pan again, and just brown the both sides of the bread with the meat and sauces in it.
8)Serve hot.

Sorry but there's no picture on this recipe. IT was so good, i was so into eating it i actually forgot about taking up some pictures of it. But, do try this simple recipe at home. Its simple, and nice. Great for tea break or a midnight supper.

Cheers
Adrian

WE NAME TODAY : LAM NUA DAY means in hokkien LAZY DAY

Wake up late. Eat lunch late. Shower late. Went out late. Sleep late. Blog late.

Song listening to : Oh Holy Night - by Christina Aguilera

A heart shaped out of empty peanut shells. Just for you..

Hands bind together and pray : wishing for hope

Mood: calm

Misses grandma

The room is so cold .. hiding under my cosy blanket. Needs someone to sleep beside me. I'm lonely.

Watched a movie today by Jaycee Fung. A story about a young teenager whom fell in love with a teen girl and she got pregnant. How the actor (Jaycee) and actress (unknown) struggle through hard times just to bring the baby to the world. The bond of true love and trust ::: Reminds me of a lot of events of the past which probably would had happened if things were so and so :::

Adrian's Home Made BBQ recipe

This is a recipe i came up with today. It tastes really good.. ! you would be licking your finger after u taste the marinate.
=======================
This is all you need for the chicken before putting in the marinate sauce.

Chicken wings - cleaned and drained.
1 Onion
3 Sprigs of Rosemary
American spicy yellow mustard
Method: Rub all this into the chicken and make sure the chicken is lightly coated with mustard.
=========================
BBQ Sauce Marinate

Heinz BBQ sauce
Honey
Carlsberg beer
Chinese cooking wine
Brown sugar
Chili Sauce
5 Spice Powder
Black Pepper
Salt
Method: Add all this into a pot and bring it to a boil. Cool it down and marinate the chicken.

I would recommend marinating the chicken for 2 days in the refrigerator. Make sure its properly covered.
Cheers!

what is love?

What is love? It is one of the most difficult questions for the mankind. Centuries have passed by, relationships have bloomed and so has love. But no one can give the proper definition of love. To some, Love is friendship set on fire. For others , Maybe love is like luck. You have to go all the way to find it. No matter how you define it or feel it, love is the eternal truth in the history of mankind.

Love is patient, love is kind. It has no envy, nor it boasts itself and it is never proud. It rejoices over the evil and is the truth seeker. Love protects; preserves and hopes for the positive aspect of life. Always stand steadfast in love, not fall into it. It is like the dream of your matter of affection coming true. Love can occur between two or more individuals. It bonds them and connects them in a unified link of trust, intimacy and interdependence. It enhances the relationship and comforts the soul. Love should be experienced and not just felt. The depth of love can not be measured. Look at the relationship between a mother and a child. The mother loves the child unconditionally and it can not be measured at all. A different dimension can be attained between any relationships with the magic of love. Love can be created. You just need to focus on the goodness of the other person. If this can be done easily, then you can also love easily. And remember we all have some positive aspect in us, no matter how bad our deeds maybe. And as God said, Love all.

Depending on context, love can be of different varieties. Romantic love is a deep, intense and unending. It shared on a very intimate and interpersonal and sexual relationship. The term Platonic love, familial love and religious love are also matter of great affection. It is more of desire, preference and feelings. The meaning of love will change with each different relationship and depends more on its concept of depth, versatility, and complexity. But at times the very existence of love is questioned. Some say it is false and meaningless. It says that it never exist, because there has been many instances of hatred and brutality in relationships. The history of our world has witnessed many such events. There has been hatred between brothers, parents and children, sibling rivalry and spouses have failed each other. Friends have betrayed each other; the son has killed his parents for the throne, the count is endless. Even the modern generation is also facing with such dilemmas everyday. But love is not responsible for that. It is us, the people, who have forgotten the meaning of love and have undertaken such gruesome apathy.

In the past the study of philosophy and religion has done many speculations on the phenomenon of love. But love has always ruled, in music, poetry, paintings, sculptor and literature. Psychology has also done lot of dissection to the essence of love, just like what biology, anthropology and neuroscience has also done to it.

Psychology portrays love as a cognitive phenomenon with a social cause. It is said to have three components in the book of psychology: Intimacy, Commitment, and Passion. Also, in an ancient proverb love is defined as a high form of tolerance. And this view has been accepted and advocated by both philosophers and scholars. Love also includes compatibility. But it is more of journey to the unknown when the concept of compatibility comes into picture. Maybe the person whom we see in front of us, may be least compatible than the person who is miles away. We might talk to each other and portray that we love each other, but practically we do not end up into any relationship. Also in compatibility, the key is to think about the long term successful relationship, not a short journey. We need to understand each other and must always remember that no body is perfect.

Be together, share your joy and sorrow, understand each other, provide space to each other, but always be there for each others need. And surely love will blossom to strengthen your relationship with your matter of affection.

i seem to be feeling my heart beating heavily lately.. is it a sign of heart attack? heart failure? or is it something somewhere is making me feel the pressure.. i really do not know.

What Is Heart Failure?

Heart failure does not mean the heart has stopped working. Rather, it means that the heart's pumping power is weaker than normal. With heart failure, blood moves through the heart and body at a slower rate, and pressure in the heart increases. As a result, the heart cannot pump enough oxygen and nutrients to meet the body's needs. The chambers of the heart respond by stretching to hold more blood to pump through the body or by becoming stiff and thickened. This helps to keep the blood moving for a short while but, in time, the heart muscle walls weaken and are unable to pump as strongly. As a result, the kidneys often respond by causing the body to retain fluid (water) and sodium. If fluid builds up in the arms, legs, ankles, feet, lungs, or other organs, the body becomes congested, and congestive heart failure is the term used to describe the condition.

the winner takes it all

I dont wanna talk
About the things weve gone through
Though its hurting me
Now its history
Ive played all my cards
And thats what youve done too
Nothing more to say
No more ace to play

The winner takes it all
The loser standing small
Beside the victory
Thats her destiny

I was in your arms
Thinking I belonged there
I figured it made sense
Building me a fence
Building me a home
Thinking Id be strong there
But I was a fool
Playing by the rules

The gods may throw a dice
Their minds as cold as ice
And someone way down here
Loses someone dear
The winner takes it all
The loser has to fall
Its simple and its plain
Why should I complain.

But tell me does he kiss
Like I used to kiss you?
Does it feel the same
When he calls your name?
Somewhere deep inside
You must know I miss you
But what can I say
Rules must be obeyed

The judges will decide
The likes of me abide
Spectators of the show
Always staying low
The game is on again
A lover or a friend
A big thing or a small
The winner takes it all

roller coaster day

Yea yea .. i am still listening to MAMMA MIA soundtracks. Its already 2AM now, and i'm still awake. Probably because of the coffee i had just now while watching Moonlight Renaissance. Its a nice drama. Very nice actually. Worth watching. Hahaha Dancing Queen is playing now. My friends do ask me why am I into classics. Let me tell you why. First, influenced by my mum. Second, they rock. Third, entertainment. Many youngsters nowadays enjoys loud music, fast beats and songs that you don't even know what are they talking about. What the heck dude... I bet when youngsters went to watch MAMMA MIA in the theaters, they don't even know where all the songs came from. Some probably never heard of it. Usually my old favorites are ABBA, Modern Talking, Bee Gees, Boney M, Air Supply and a few more. Heard of those? I bet you haven't.

So today was kind of an interesting day. Lets start with the good thing first. I wouldn't want my readers to be reading all the bad news first all the time. As a matter of fact, i finally payed the registration fees to William Angliss. I am going to Melbourne guys !!! Very excited, yet nervous and a little bit of sadness hiding somewhere inside. Leaving mum and grandma here all by themselves.. well i will come home every year. So no worries ok?
So Melbourne.. a small city down south of Australia. Packed with people, nice buildings and beautiful sceneries. I wonder how will it be when i'm there. Probably not much difference than USA.

So here comes the bad news. Sadly, one of my friend is breaking up with his girlfriend. The girlfriend's parents are against their relationship unfortunately. Sometimes, parents tend to over-rule their children. Just because the mother doesn't like the opposite gender, she insists her to leave him. Isn't that ridiculous? Of course i do not know what parents think sometimes * i am yet to be one* .. but if parents would let their children speak out sometimes, probably things would be better. Lack of communication will cause lots of arguing and fighting. You would least want that wouldn't you. Putting faith and confidence in your children would help them grow up understanding the reality of this world, and letting themselves build the "defense" in them. Parents can't look after them all the time.

I myself grow up in a family where my mum and grandma educates me with lots of "old people" theory. They keep telling me all kinds of story and theories so i won't be "this and that" kinda person. But, because they give me some freedom since i was young and pulling it back when necessary, i myself learnt a lot of the truth of life from older generations, from religious forms, and also by seeing the reality happening around me. I wouldn't say i am the best son in the world, but i am not as bad compared to a lot of youngsters out there at my age. Drooling around with girls and beer every night. That's just not my type. Hahaha.

Why am i talking about myself????? Shhh...

No matter what, i wish my friend luck though. Hope things goes well. Melbourne, here i come!

Mama Mia!!

* i cross the stream .... i have a dream... if you see the wonders from a fairy tale.. you can take on the future .. even if you fail *

Part of a song ( I Have A Dream ) from ABBA, played in the movie MAMA MIA.

Comments on this movie is.. G R E A T

Damn man.. this is such a good movie, entertaining yet fun and touching. I just finish watching it minutes ago with mum and i can't wait to blog it up and tell the world how amazing the movie was. I can assure you that this is the best Musical movie i've seen since Mary Poppins. Ignore High School Musical, that is yet to be reviewed by me... soon. Hahaha.
The songs were awesome. The actors were funny and sometimes overacting but its acceptable. Overall, is a nice movie. Everyone should watch. Rated 9/10.

For further information on this spectacular movie .. please do visit http://www.mammamiamovie.com/

coffee is a necessity ..

Yes. Coffee is my everyday need of energy boost in the morning, as well as a treat for me during the night while watching tv. Though some terms from youngsters that coffee is for old people.. (from my friend MC) , i do enjoy some precious time spent at coffee outlets such as Coffee Bean and Old Town.

so, speaking about "coffee times" i went hang out wif MC and BV dat night at Old Town in New World Park. Well it was my first time there and the atmosphere was not bad at all.. it was better than what i expected. Kick away the air-conditioned Old Town that i use to go in AutoCity. New World Park rocks. But an old advise to all my old folks whom are reading my blog.. coffee is bad for health. Do not drink it too often as it contains high amount of caffein. It will make you coming for more .. sleepless at night .. and worst of all, diabetes. Dammit .. i am definitely cutting my coffee consumption.

Hello guyz .. !!!

Welcome to my new blog. Probably you will be reading this soon.. as i just spread out my new blog's address.
Do click on the (following this blog) button on bottom left of my page.
Will update as soon as there's news . And leave comments ok!
Thank you folks.

Checkin out.

early morning..

yawnnn... good morning guys. Well, nice weather today as i'm just sitting at home watchin over Jingles and playin GTA on my xbox. Days seems to be very hard to pass by, like i keep asking myself why am i not working or hanging out with my friends ? Anyway, Baven and Man Chew is on their way to rescue me . So it should be better in the afternoon.

Drinking my old town white coffee while blogging and playing xbox at the same time .. i occupy myself with 3 things at a time. By the way, did i mention mum's radio in the room is really loud??? With all the drilling and knocking sound from the renovation happening somewhere in the building .. this house is never at peace during working hours. My god, there goes the loud bomb sound from the nearby hill. I think there's a factory there bombing up some rocks off the hill. Sorry mother nature. Curse those people who destroys the nice view from my balcony. Is like having a patch on your head that doesn't grow anymore hair. Nasty.

Is my mug cute? Kinda neat huh.. got it from Bangkok, handmade. Bet this is the only one in Penang! Muahahaha. Should have bought another one. Though is kinda expensive, but its worth the money. Microwave prove too..

Well, is almost 11am. Gonna get my shower. Ciao.

new homie of the house

well, we welcome Jingles as our new homie of the house. A toy poodle at the age of 2 months, she is as small as my palm. We took Jingles home on November 11, and her birthday is coincidently on September 11. Hahaha exactly 2 months ago.
Well, she's kinda quiet at first, but now... the evil side of her appears. She whines sometimes when we walk past her cage. Paper training is undergoing, so sorry Jingles but you have to be in the cage for quite some time.

Here are some pictures of her . Isn't she an angel...? Probably casper will be happy to have her as his wife. Then we get American Cocker Poodle Babies. Hahahaha that would look really wierd.

something to motivate you

something to inspire you

here it goes again..

Well, Obama actually won the election as predicted. America's first african-american president. His words, his visions, his missions .. Can he handle all the problems from the economic crisis to the remaining two wars? Will he lead us to dooms day in 2012 ? Nobody knows what will happen in 2012!

There is zero scientific evidence that anything will happen, but there are numerous things that could easily threaten the human species in the year 2012, such as a geomagnetic reversal, asteroid strike or supernova. Or something more intimate, like a flu pandemic, or a nuclear war. Be warned my friends....

Lets skip the political issues shall we? It really has nothing in concern to me. Just being "kaypo". Hahha.

So, i started my blogging hobby once again.. for fun of course. There has been lots of issues surrounding me lately. Tough times are yet to come. I do wonder at times .. did God ever answer to my prayers? Does people around me really understand what am i going through? Who cares about me right? I do think, if i would be given the rights to speak out, things would be better. If compared to others, my life aint that bad after all. Just disappointments all the way thru. Well, i believe in fate and God's arrangements. Hmmm...

Why wanna blame others right? When you can't even manage your own miserable life. This aint gonna help. Afterall, i am a nobody.

PS: I miss grandma a lot.
